Snatch.

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

The basic story is about a couple of jewel theifs, pikeys, gangstars, russians who can't die and crazy british people.
It's not really worth putting down all the aspects of each and every character i mean you learn that when you watch the film,it really isn't worth reviewing.
I enjoy the way the directing is done with the sudden freezing when something bad happens. Guy Ritchie has done a better job on this than he did on Lock Stock, i must admit it is my favourite of his movies.
The humour is very british and very blunt/funny.
The use of the word cunt, fuck, shit, bollocks. Is very overused which makes it that much more funny.

I give it 9/10,i've seen it atleast 10 times over the years. It's a class movie and i highly rate it.

Cradle of Fear.

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

I can't really write the basic story for this film, because in all honesty it makes no sense to me as much as the next person. It's supposed to be a "B-movie" style film i would have thought, i mean i'm a big fan of B-Movies, but this just takes the piss, it is so poor.
The directing alone is very bad, i'm not saying i could do it any better, but still.. What i think is that Dani Filth has thought.. I'm a goth and into horror movies so i can write a film. And that is the case i think with most people like that and Rob Zombie.
The characters have no personalitiy not even for a smidge of time, as for the acting.. well that is just wrong.

I give it a good 2/10 i mean it's not even worth watching just to laugh at.
The soundtrack is okay though maybe because it is Cradle of Filth.

Just Friends.

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cY4V6d6L9A

The basic story is about a high school geek called Chris Brander. He is in love with Jamie and he can't get out of the friend's zone. He's picked on for being fat, etc. So he moves away, gains a career and becomes rich, but as he has to go back to New Jersey he see's Jamie again and still can't loose his feelings.
The film itself is basically another romcom which i didn't really think i'd like, but i did. The characters are very well done, i mean the kid Chris is very well done. He's the typical nice guy who would do anything for anyone. Then there is the distraction called Dusty who to my suprise was OZ from American Pie, that was random seeing him in this kind of role.
Generalising the film as another comedy would be true, but there are a couple of bits that are more funny than others, such as when they are fighting and Chris tells his brother that he loves him. You'd have to see what i mean to actually find it funny.

Yet again for some reason i'm finding it hard to write about this film, maybe i'm not cut out for writing about specific films, but i am practicing and in time my reviews shall be far better.. all i'm doing is writing the basic story of the film which you'd find out from reading it and not actually reviewing it.

Regardless, 8/10 i give it. Worth watch, can't be viewed too often i would of thought.

Deep Impact. ( Contains spoilers. )

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLgSKv2P-ow

The basic story is about, well the world coming to an end. At the start of the film there are a group of kids looking at the stars, when Leo discovers another star that isn't on the radard.. which as you would have thought was a meteorite. A scientist attempts to get this news out but dies in a car accident. One year on it is then again rediscovered and named after the boy.
The character adaptment is pretty good, you see another normal side to the president you could say. I also like how the film makers used Morgan Freeman in a presidential role to show another side rather than your average texan white guy.
Personally i'm finding it quite hard to review this film, either because i'm tired or because generally i didn't think much of it second time around. I was excited that i had it on order and it was the first film i bought along with The CORE which i'm sure i will be reviewing very shortly in time. I must admit, the part at the end with the astronaughts speaking with they're families and the blind guy with his wife and child. That stuff can make people cry and i can see why, totally.

I'll give the film 7/10. It's a good film, good for it's genre and isn't too long and doesn't keep spanning along. Oh and there aren't really any heroics like in Armageddon.

The Wedding Crashers.

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BchoV-6UHI8

The basic story is about two guys who change the back story of their lives eachtime they crash a wedding. You have John who is played by Owen Wilson and Jeremy who is played by Vince Vaughn.
John and Jeremy are best friends and have been for 16 years. They always do everything together, mainly crashing weddings. They're aim for each wedding is, free food, free alcohol and of course getting laid. John however falls in love with the brides sister and Jeremy is left with a crazy bitch of a woman.
It also stars Christopher Walken which i am suprised as his part is usually a bit different, say when he plays in TRUE ROMANCE as the gangstar, such a different part for him to play...yet still a brilliant character. Also Will Farrell makes a cameo as a guy called Chaz who is the pro at wedding crashing and also funeral crashing.
The character representation isn't all that good. You don't find out too much about the main characters specifically but then again that isn't needed for the plot, it would take too long and it really isn't needed.
I actually watched the "UNCORKED" version, which adds only 9 minutes, i think it's the first scene with the divorce, bit pointless.

Overall i think it's an average film at best, it kept me hooked to see the ending, which also isn't that obvious.(Sarcasm.)
But i think it's worth the watch, i'd watch again but not in any time soon. It needs to have more funny scenes and stay away from the whole romcom style that it has become, such as Loser. It has it's similarities of the hardship of finding love. I'll give it a 6.5/10 i guess is a good enough score.

Mallrats. ( Contains spoilers. )

All is typed by myself no copy and paste. And Below is a trailer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eVo7aBze1w

Mallrats is written and directed by Kevin Smith, who also plays as Silent Bob in Chasing Amy amongst other movies.

The basic story is about two guys called Brody and TS. Brody gets dumped because of his habits of comic book reading and playing Sega. The stereotypical geek in the story which i thought was very well written out with his attitude towards women and his hobbies. TS is the one who is in love with Brandi and wants to marry her but she can't because of her over possesive father.
It has a real american feel to it you could say. With the shopping mall and the way it is all panned out with him living in the basement.

Storyline : I think the story was a basic one but with some deepness to the characters you could say. They did work on the Brodie character more than the TS one i'd say, because you find out more about him than any of the others. This of course doesn't really matter about Jay and Silent Bob because they are in all of these films anyway. The ending of the film was obvious, you could tell what would happen to Shannon when Brodie asks for the video to be displayed. But overall i'd say the story was pretty well thought out, not many people would say that but i think it was. There was a couple of things i didn't like about it. Such as the slapstick that was shown with Jay and Silent Bob with the silly noises and the actions of them when Bob had his batman gun. I thought that it didn't need to be done, regardless still funny.

There aren't really any obvious errors that i noticed, the camera work was done okay and i didn't see any microphones or nothing like that so i'm quite impressed. Plus it is one of Kevin Smith's earlier films back in 1995, so i think that would have been just after Clerks.
I don't know how popular the film was, i personally didn't know what it was when i bought it back in Tescos about 2 years ago. I just reconized Jay and Silent Bob on the front of the case. Put it this way, £3.00 very well spent.

So overall, i'd give it 8/10. I've seen it 3-4 times and it's still good now.

Introduction to the blog.

I'm going to start writing a blog about DVDs and what i personally think of them, i'm going to also be giving the link out to a fair few people to read and comment.

First and foremost, i don't care if your opinion to the film differs to mine, constructive comments are very welcome whether they are good or bad. And yes my punctuation and spelling may be off but i couldn't care less about that.

So yeah, as thought as i'm watching alot of DVDs at the moment i figured that maybe trying to write my opinions in the best way possible on them was a good idea. A video blog was thought of but i'd look more of an idiot than the guys on youtube. So yeah i'll try and update as much as i can, also to read back on and see if my opinion changes on a DVD in the near future.

I shall update as much as possible as i'm always doing other things such as work and the like.
